• Rape suspect is illegal immigrant - (down the page) Fernando charged in Frame Park rape, battery
  Waukesha - A man charged with attacking two women and raping one of them in Frame Park in separate incidents last month is an illegal immigrant who is believed to have been deported from the country in the past, Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher said today.
  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have been notified about the arrest of Fernando Juarez Decion and have placed a detainer on him to bar his release from custody if he is able to post the $150,000 bail that has been set, Bucher said.
  Bucher said he notified federal immigration officials about Decion this week after learning that he was an illegal immigrant who apparently returned to the United States after being deported sometime in the past.
  Decion, 30, was charged June 28 with three felonies - second-degree sexual assault by use of force, robbery with use of force and substantial battery for an attack on a woman he allegedly met three days earlier at Fiesta Waukesha in Frame Park, a criminal complaint says.
  Decion is known by at least 12 aliases and has no permanent address, according to court records. He is scheduled to appear in court next on Friday. He was being held today in the Waukesha County Jail. - Transient charged in Frame Park rape - (Invasion!)

  Texas (AP) -- Authorities say a Central Texas woman was recuperating at a Temple hospital after she reported being run off a rural road, kidnapped and then raped and beaten by her abductors. Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson says two suspects have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping. They are 17-year-old Javier Guzman Martinez and 22-year-old Noel Darwin Hernandez, both of "Mexia". Wilson says both men are apparently in the United States illegally and will be held without bond on immigration charges. Wilson described the woman's alleged ordeal as, quote, "more than two hours in hell."

  SAN DIEGO -- Two U.S. Border Patrol agents under investigation for smuggling migrants and drugs into the United States have disappeared, a federal law enforcement official said Friday. The LA Times reported that a Border Patrol spokesman identified the agents as Raul and Fidel Villarreal. Foreman said they were under investigation for suspected smuggling activity and resigned. The agents were suspected of working for Mexican-based organizations to smuggle Mexicans and Brazilians into the United States, the source said.

Angel Maturino Resendiz mumbled a prayer in Spanish, saying "Lord, forgive me. Lord, forgive me," and acknowledged the presence of relatives watching through a nearby window. "I want to ask if it is in your heart to forgive me," he said as he looked toward the relatives of victims in another room. "You don't have to. I know I allowed the devil to rule my life.""I thank God for having patience for me. I don't deserve to cause you pain. You did not deserve this. I deserve what I am getting," he said. The Mexican drifter known as the "Railroad Killer" was executed for the slaying of physician Claudia Benton 7 1/2 years ago. She was killed during a deadly spree in 1998 and 1999, which earned Resendiz a spot on the FBI's Most Wanted list as authorities searched for a murderer who slipped across the U.S. border and roamed the country by freight train. Benton, 39, was stabbed with a kitchen knife, struck 19 times with a 2-foot-tall bronze statue and raped in her home eight days before Christmas in 1998 in the Houston enclave of West University Place, just down the street from a railroad track.

A 42-year-old man is accused of assaulting a woman after an encounter outside a Pontiac bar. A 26-year-old Waterford woman told police that she had been assaulted by an unknown man at about 2 a.m. She said she was at Charley's Roost in Pontiac when she was approached by the man. He offered to drive her home, but she refused. The woman started walking home to Waterford when the man grabbed the woman, saying he loved her. The woman pulled away and ran off, but the man ran after her, grabbed her and punched her in the face, police said. Police said the victim woke up and discovered she had been beaten and was partially clothed. She ran home and was taken to a hospital by a relative. Officers investigated and followed tips, which led to the arrest of Cesar Antonio Ruiz (pictured) on Wednesday in connection with the assault, police said. Prosecutors Stiffen Charges In Alien Road Rage Shooting
BENTONVILLE -- Prosecutors will pursue life sentences in prison against three people suspected in a May 6 fatal road rage shooting, according to formal charges filed Friday. Counts of capital murder and being an accomplice to capital murder are expected to be filed against the three people arrested in the death of Daniel Ray Francis, 32, of Rogers. Prosecutors added one count of committing a terroristic act against the accused shooter -- and one count of being an accomplice to a terroristic act against each of the other two defendants.
A capital murder charge was filed against Serafin Sandoval-Vega, 19, whom police believe shot three bullets at a red Acura heading north on Bloomington Street in Lowell on that Saturday afternoon. A passenger in the car, Daniel Ray Francis, 32, of Rogers, was killed by one bullet that struck him in the head. Prosecutor Robin Green has said she'll likely pursue the death penalty against Sandoval-Vega. Two passengers in Sandoval-Vega's car, Manuel Enrique Camacho-Ambriz, 25, and Roxana Hernandez, 21, were also formally charged with being accomplices to capital murder, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Each is also charged with being an accomplice to a terroristic act, which is punishable by up to life in prison.  The men gave five different names after being arrested, but police ultimately discovered Sandoval-Vega and Hernandez are resident aliens and Camacho-Ambriz is an illegal alien with an "outstanding order of removal" from the U.S. Camacho-Ambriz is believed to be active in the Surenos 13 gang from Southern California. Police search for rape suspect - Illegal immigrant 'Pedro' accused of impregnating 10-year-old girl
Police said they are searching for a 21-year-old illegal immigrant accused of raping a 10-year-old family member and leaving her pregnant. Authorities were alerted to the case by a local doctor, who discovered the girl's pregnancy during a routine medical exam. The girl was subsequently taken to the Children's Advocacy Center in Edinburg where she told staff that her 21-year-old relative, Pedro Guzman Muñoz, had raped her. Police continued to search for Guzman on Thursday but said they did not have any leads on his whereabouts. Douglas Herrera Castellanos "beat, cut, raped, sodomized and strangled the greatest love of my life and the mother of my two children," Daniel Nagle told the judge at the hearing.  NEW CITY, N.Y. Daniel Nagle and his two kids visited their mother's grave to mark Mother's Day. Today, on his 13th wedding anniversary, he watched as the man who raped and murdered his wife was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. A state judge in suburban New York sentenced the laborer to life plus 124 years. The judge said he wanted to ensure the man "will never have the chance" to commit another crime. Mary Nagle's murder last April drew widespread attention after the attacker allegedly used his victim's cell phone to brag about the crime to her relatives. Douglas Herrera Castellanos is a Guatemalan immigrant whose visa expired five years ago. He'd been hired to clean off a backyard deck. He testified that he'd consumed beer and cocaine the night before the killing and didn't remember entering the house or killing the woman.  Herrera testified he remembered going to the Nagle house to work and then waking up atop Nagle's battered and blood-drenched body in a bedroom in shambles. - (crime) - (Invasion!)

'Savage' previously-deported illegal Mexican alien rapist Israel Bustamonte gets 80 years
OAKLAND -- A judge today told an Oakland man that he will probably die behind bars for a series of sexual assaults that included an attack on a teenager whose first sexual experience was being dragged into the bushes while jogging in Berkeley. Alameda County Superior Court Judge C. Don Clay sentenced Israel Bustamonte to 80 years in prison and called his crimes "brutal and savage acts," and the mother of a 17-year-old girl Bustamonte attacked condemned him. "She is virtuous," the woman, whom The Chronicle is not naming to protect the victim's identity, said of her daughter. "This was her first experience with a man. It was her first gynecological exam. It was painful and difficult and embarrassing. "It was," she added, "also the first time she had experienced any kind of violence." The woman said her daughter now has problems relating to men, including her father, and said of Bustamonte's conviction, "Mom, it's not going to undo what happened." Bustamonte, 26, showed no visible reaction as an interpreter translated the woman's comment. Bustamonte pleaded guilty to 10 felonies stemming from attacks in which four women were robbed, beaten and raped in Berkeley and Oakland. He had faced 23 felony counts of rape, sodomy, sexual assault, oral copulation and robbery.

An HIV-positive man accused of having unprotected sex without telling his partners may have done so with more than 25 women in the past two years, police say.  Police announced yesterday they've charged 28-year-old Clato Lual Mabior with three additional counts of aggravated sexual assault and two additional counts of forcible confinement after two more of the man's alleged victims came forward this week. The women claim the crimes occurred last year. Mabior was initially charged with one count each of aggravated sexual assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats after a 17-year-old girl told police he sexually assaulted and threatened her inside his Sherbrook Street home on Sunday morning.
