(White) Grandfather, 69, shot dead after opening door for 20-year-old (black) man who said he was being pursued A 69-year-old Minnesota man has been shot dead after opening his door to a man who claimed he was being chased. Thomas Sonnenberg called 911 at 11:46am Friday for 20-year-old Devon Derrick Parker who police say told him he was being pursued by assailants with baseball bats. When police arrived at the home on the 3700 block of North Aldrich Avenue in north Minneapolis, they found Sonnenberg dead. Parker was apprehended inside the house. Police spokesperson John Elder earlier indicated that Parker and Sonnenberg were acquaintances, but Sonnenberg's daughter Raina Baldwin says that was not the case. 'No. Absolutely not,' she told the Mail Online through tears. 'He thought he was helping someone in need, that's why he let him into the house,' she said. Baldwin said she believes Parker was attempting to rob the house but did not realize that her mother was also in the home. Sonnenberg answered the door to Parker begging to come in because he was in danger. He let the young man inside and closed the door before calling 911. It was then that Parker shot him in the head. Thomas Sonnenberg's wife Elaine Sonnenberg, 68, was in the kitchen at the time of the shooting. 'When the murderer found out she was here, he threw her around and choked her, and he was going to rape her,' Baldwin told Mail Online. - (Black-on-white) |

Missouri executes black man for jeweler's 1991 death The 56-year-old had been convicted of killing Stephen Honickman and badly injuring his wife, Florence, during a robbery at their jewelry shop in suburban St. Louis on July 27, 1991. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In 1991, Herbert Smulls called jeweler Stephen Honickman and set up an appointment to meet at his store in suburban St. Louis. He said he wanted to buy a diamond for his fiancee. It was a set up. Smulls wanted to rob the store and took along a 15-year-old friend to help commit what became a far worse crime: Honickman was shot to death. Honickman's wife, Florence, was also shot, but survived by faking death in a pool of her own blood until the assailants left. Late Wednesday night, Smulls was put to death with a lethal dose of pentobarbital. Florence Honickman spoke to the media after the execution, flanked by her adult son and daughter. She questioned why it took 22 years of appeals before Smulls was put to death. Make no mistake, the long, winding and painful road leading up to this day has been a travesty of justice," she said. - (Black-on-white) |

Baltimore Mall Shooting: Black Shooter Kills Two White People, Wounds Five In the recent Mall Of Columbia shooting, a black teenager walked into a mall with a shotgun, killed two white people his own age, possibly because he'd been rejected by a white girl in favor of a white man. Here's Darion Marcus Aguilar (pictured at left). This is a photo of one of the victims, Brianna Benlolo (pictured at right) and here's the other deceased white victim, Tyler Johnson: (pictured at right). Eric Holder has once again come out with his line about the US being a "Nation of Cowards" about race. This is true. The headlne above contains facts that won't even appear in most MSM stories, and will never appear in a headline. And all the stories will be about gun control, mental illness, depression, and metal detectors in malls. None of them will be about the real issue: that for a white girl to get into a relationship with a black or Hispanic teenager may be easier than getting out. There are young women every year who don't get out alive. That's a "Talk" worth having with your daughter. - (Black-on-white) |

Woman was stabbed to death in White Plains because she was White A lawyer for the family of a woman who was stabbed to death in White Plains because she was white argued Thursday that the city failed to adequately secure a parking garage near the Galleria where the crime occurred. The lawyer spoke during the opening of a civil trial in the case, pressed by the family of Concetta “Connie” Russo-Carriero of White Plains, who was stabbed by Phillip Grant on June 29, 2005, at the parking garage. Grant, who is serving a sentence of 25 years to life in state prison, told police shortly after his arrest that he was waging a race war and only regretted not being able to kill more whites that day. Russo-Carriero’s family sued a variety of entities after the murder, culminating in Thursday’s trial, which is expected to last through next week. "It's like it happened yesterday," said Jim Burk, Lauren's father. "There's not a day that goes by that my family doesn't have her close in our mind and heart." "Losing a child is like carrying stones in your pocket at all times," said Lauren's mother, Viviane Guerschon. "You get used to the weight, but the weight is always there." "We're so glad to have justice for our daughter and I believe she is up there in heaven just saying, 'Way to go momma, alright, alright dad, yeah,'" said Carol Fisher, Fisher's mother. "Each and every one of them came in here and told the truth and the right verdict was reached," said Jennifer Wright. Wright prosecuted the case. She says there was no one key piece of evidence that lead to the conviction, but rather the willingness of everyone involved to do their part. "I was pretty difficult. I didn't think I was going to be able to get up there and look them in the face but I did it and I'm glad I did it," said Madeleine North, Fisher's daughter. Fisher's daughter and her boyfriend Robert Russo witnessed the murder. As Fisher and Pat Brown began to argue, Russo came to her defense and the argument escalated. He says knowing the gun was aimed at him is hard to live with. "For the longest time, you blame yourself. If the gun was pointed at me? Were those bullets meant for me? And you question your role in the whole situation and what you could've done differently. But in the end, I just gotta tell myself it wasn't me. I'm not the one who had the gun. I'm not the one who pulled the trigger," said Russo. - (Black-on-white) |

Father of accused (black) stabber of (White) Seattle University student apologizes in court SEATTLE — Kenneth McNeal's mother cried quietly in the courtroom as her husband apologized for their son on his 16th birthday. "Our biggest heartbreak is that a human life was almost lost," Michael McNeal said. Police said McNeal and Pamon punched and stabbed Vincent, piercing his heart and lung. "He had ten transfusions and was on death's door," said Ben Vincent, the victim's brother."If he hadn't been attacked where he was (close to the hospital), and cared for as quickly as he was, he would be dead." Geoff is currently still in Harborview Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit but is awake and talking. McNeal's father also gave a face-to-face apology to the Vincent family after court. He said he has no idea why his son might have done such a thing. If the prosecutor moves forward with formal charges, he will have to decide inwhether to charge McNeal as a juvenile or an adult. The attack happened when McNeal was 15. If he'd been accused of the crime after his 16th birthday, he would automatically be in adult court. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Parolee charged in murder of (White) 84-year-old Novi woman Peter Gerard Jones, 46, has been charged with murder after his 84-year-old neighbor was found dead in her Novi condo. Bernice Schaufele was excited for a big move. The 84-year-old Novi woman was planning on moving out of her condo on West Glen Haven Circle and heading to North Carolina where she'd be close to one of daughters. But Bernice would never make her much anticipated move. One of Bernice's daughters found her dead on the first floor of her home Monday around 2:45 p.m. According to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's office, Bernice Schaufele died from "near strangulation" and a stab wound to the neck. Jones, a parolee, lived with his mother close-by and piqued a police officer's interest after he began asking questions as the officer cordoned off the area around the scene of the crime. He was taken in for questioning and during the execution of search warrants at his home and garage, police found small valuables allegedly stolen from Bernice. Novi police say Jones has convictions for two prior homicides. “This is just a horrific crime by an animal on an 84-year-old lady. He shouldn’t have been on the street,” said Zoltan Lukacs, Schaufele’s son-in-law. - (Black-on-white) |
