(Black) Man charged in hit-run death of (White) Shaker teacher appears in court  SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The man arrested in the deadly hit and run of a Shaker Heights school teacher appeared in court Friday. Derick Allan Ward, 45, of Cleveland was taken into custody by Shaker Heights Police Department and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with the hit and run death of James G. Caffrey. His bond was set at $1.5 million. Caffrey was a 51-year-old fifth grade teacher at Woodbury School in Shaker Heights who was jogging down South Park Boulevard at about 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, when a vehicle driven by Ward struck him from behind causing his death. Police say Ward struck and killed Caffrey as he was fleeing police. He was originally pulled over in University Heights for invalid tags. He stopped for a brief moment, then took off. He was speeding and fleeing police when he struck Caffery. He left the vehicle at the scene and took off on foot. Police credit good police work and FBI in arresting Ward. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Marietta man arrested in fatal shooting of (White) cab driver  Police have arrested a man in the fatal shooting of a 65-year-old taxi cab driver. Justin Marquis Graves, 34, of Marietta, was arrested by the Marietta Police Department in connection with the shooting, which occurred early Thursday morning, according to a news release. Officers were called shortly before 3 a.m. to the Allround Suites in the 2200 block of Northwest Parkway on a report of an unresponsive driver, Officer Brittany Wallace said. The cab driver was dead in the driver’s seat from a gunshot wound, she said. Thursday afternoon, the cab driver was identified as Michael Bemus of Austell. Graves is being charged with felony murder in the shooting and is being held at the Cobb County Jail. There was no known motive for the crime. Graves is a convicted felon who previously spent nearly two years in prison after being convicted of aggravated assault in Gwinnett County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. ( Evil black) Man accused in stabbing had stalked, threatened (white) woman   A fatal stabbing outside a Walgreens on Wednesday night followed stalking and a death threat from a man who had been romantically linked to the slain woman, according to a Las Vegas police report. The attack was caught on the pharmacy's surveillance cameras. Leonard Woods, 46, and Josie Kate Jones, 41, of Las Vegas, had been in a relationship for nine years and lived together "on and off," Jones' teenage daughter told Metro detectives in the arrest report. The daughter, 15, also said Woods had threatened her and her mother plus a younger sibling, telling them that he was going to kill them and burn their house, according to the report. He told Jones numerous times that "he would hurt her if she tried to leave him." The daughter told police she and Jones went in the store to buy juice after the girl's cheerleader practice. Surveillance video, Metro said, shows Woods driving up to the Walgreens about 8:15 p.m., a minute or so after Jones and her daughter got there. Woods is then seen hiding between the SUV Jones drove and another vehicle then jumping out at Jones as she tried to get back into her car, police said. Jones called out Woods right before the attack, the girl told police. She also said she thought Woods was only shaking her mother, the report said, before realizing Woods was stabbing her as he repeatedly yelled "b----." That is when the girl ran inside the store to ask for help, police said. Witnesses told detectives that they saw a man chasing a woman in the parking lot and originally thought they were playing around. Later, witnesses told police in the report, they realized the woman was being attacked. The man yelled, "F--- you b----, I told you I would find you," witnesses recounted to detectives. 3 (feral fatherless black) Teenagers Charged in Death of 74-year-old (White) Man   GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police have arrested and charged three teenagers in connection to the death of a 74-year-old man. Police found the body of Larry Eugene Brown on Greenbriar Road - just off N. Church St. - July 29. Investigators say Brown was robbed and assaulted, around 5:30 a.m., while walking to the bus stop. He suffered, what police call, "significant" blunt force trauma to his head and died from his injuries. Police say they received a Crime Stoppers tip that led to the arrest of 17-year-old D’Angelo Nathaniel Matthews. He is charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Matthews, a rising junior at Page High School, was 16 at the time of the murder and turned 17 Wednesday. He spent his birthday in court as he made his first appearance, via closed-circuit television, at the Guilford County Courthouse. A judge issued Matthews a court-appointed attorney, and did not set a bond for the suspect. His next court date is September 3. Police also charged two juveniles, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Police said all three suspects are in custody. Manhunt on For (black) Killer of (White) Shreveport Police Officer   Shreveport, LOUISIANA — The Shreveport police department have identified the suspect in Wednesday night’s killing of a police officer as 27-year-old Grover Cannon. The suspect is also wanted on an attempted murder charge from earlier this summer, according to reports. The fallen Officer has been identified as Thomas LaValley. LaValley was shot multiple times while responding to a report of a suspicious person armed with a gun inside a home at around 9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, police said. He was transported to University Health where he succumbed to his wounds. In Jackson, Miss., officers have searched at least two Greyhound buses that arrived from Louisiana in a manhunt for Grover D. Cannon, the suspected cop killer. (Cowardly black) Man accused of throwing woman to ground, stealing her purse on King Street CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Charleston police say a woman suffered injuries to her head and face after a man threw to her the ground and stole her purse on King Street this weekend. Witnesses told police the 30-year-old woman was being chased by a man just before 6 p.m. Sunday near King and Maple streets when he grabbed her, threw her to the asphalt and then snatched her purse, according to an incident report. The man was last seen heading north on King Street. Police on Monday charged Michael Eugene Nickens, 25, of Bream Road in North Charleston with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and strong armed robbery. Dora Matthews, 43, was heard screaming 'let me go' moments before she plummeted to the pavement from the living room window of the flat in Wood Green, north London. Long-term partner David Douglas, 44, was caught on CCTV a few minutes later fleeing the building barefoot and clutching a can of lager. The couple had a turbulent relationship and had been arguing in the early hours of the morning shortly before Ms Matthews was killed, a court heard. Douglas denied murder but was found guilty by a jury after nearly ten hours of deliberation. He now faces a lengthy jail sentence or even life in prison. Prosecutor Mark Dennis QC said the victim was heard screaming before she dropped from a 'comparatively small' window in the living room of Douglas' 14th floor flat. Grand Rapids police have identified (black) suspects in assault (on White man) seen on video GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids police say they have identified several people seen in cell phone video assaulting a man on July 28. The case has been sent to the Kent County Prosecutor for review. Investigators say the group of people in the video were punching and kicking a man who had been walking past around 10:15 p.m. July 28 near Monroe Ave. and Louis St. NW, not far from Rosa Parks Circle. "If you watch the video from beginning to end, you can hear them laughing and you can hear different voices in the video," said Sgt. Terry Dixon. Police have not yet determined a motive for the attack. The victim is an 18-year-old white man, and the attackers appear to be black. "So, if this is anything more than an assault, for example ethnic intimidation or a hate crime, we need to investigate that. We are looking a the evidence available to us right now." Soulless black arrested for brutal metal pipe attack on White female teen in Shreveport  SHREVEPORT, LA - Shreveport police have arrested a man for his alleged role in striking a woman in the face with a metal object last month at a convenience store. Just before 9:30 p.m. on July 26, officers were called to a convenience store in the 4400 block of Hilry Huckaby III Avenue on reports of an assault and battery. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Jessica Byrnes-Laird who was suffering from injuries to her face. Police say Byrnes-Laird's boyfriend got into a fight with several other men at the store. That's when authorities say 18-year-old Jalen A. Jack threw a metal pipe, striking Byrnes-Laird in the face. Jack was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated second degree battery. Police: (Black) Nashville woman set fire to (White) neighbors' luxury cars  Metro police charged an East Nashville woman Thursday with arson after they say she set two neighbors' luxury-model cars ablaze, causing a raging fire that took firefighters nearly an hour to snuff out. Chantel Kimble, 19, who suffered second- and third-degree burns during what firefighters described as an inferno, was booked into the Davidson County Jail on Thursday afternoon in connection with the July 17 fires. Kimble admitted to investigators that just before 2:45 a.m. on the day of the crime, she grabbed a gas can from her house and walked a short distance to 730 N. Fifth Ave., where she set fire to a BMW and a Lexus. Kimble said she "drenched the BMW with gasoline, took a piece of paper from her pocket and lit it with a cigarette lighter and threw it on the car." In doing so, her gas can caught fire, causing her to drop it and kick it into the street, the affidavit continues. US Supreme Court Targets Death Penalty Case From 1998 Nine Mile Popeye’s (Black-on-White) Murder  The U.S. Supreme Court this fall will hear arguments in a challenge to the way Florida sentences people to death — a challenge backed by three former Florida Supreme Court justices and the American Bar Association. The case, which stems from the 1998 murder of a Nine Mile Road Escambia County fast-food worker, focuses on the role that juries play in recommending death sentences, which ultimately are imposed by judges. Timothy Hurst, now 36, was convicted in the 1998 murder of Cynthia Lee Harrison, who was an assistant manager at a Popeye’s Fried Chicken restaurant where Hurst worked. Harrison’s body was discovered bound in a freezer, and money was missing from a safe, according to a brief in the case. In sentencing Hurst to death, a judge found two aggravating circumstances — that the murder was committed during a robbery and that it was “especially heinous, atrocious or cruel,” according to the brief filed by Hurst’s attorneys. | Victim of pipe beating speaks out, surveillance video shows attackSHREVEPORT, LA - A Shreveport teenager will likely be left with permanent scars after being hit in the face with a metal pipe. It was reportedly thrown at her during a gas station brawl. Shreveport police released surveillance video Wednesday which shows most of the action. The video shows five young men walking into the A & Y Quick Stop in the 4400 block of Hillry Huckaby Road. Jessica Byrnes-Laird said the confrontation started when a group of strangers made some rude comments, and then it escalated from there. “I was still in my bathing suit and there were a few males around my boyfriend's age. They started speaking to me, they started saying inappropriate comments to me," explained Jessica. Jessica's boyfriend then confronted the men, and fists begin flying. It happened so quickly, onlookers seemed confused as to what lead up to the violence. “I was standing up screaming at them asking them to stop,” said Jessica. After it was over, a pipe was thrown through the open passenger window, shattering several of her teeth, and cutting her face. “I remember feeling my teeth in my hands, and letting them fall,” said Jessica. “Looking down, blood just started gushing, it was really traumatic." Jessica can be seen in the video walking around the parking lot holding her face, as her boyfriend tried to call for help. “It upset me that I was going through something like this for something so trivial,” said Jessica. Now, she hopes someone recognizes the men in the video. She hopes her scars serve another purpose. “It can basically teach people to love one another, I want that to be the biggest outcome of it all,” said Byrnes-Laird. (White) Lakeview, Wrigleyville mugging victims describe violent attacks by packs of blacks   CHICAGO -- Police say at least four people have been violently attacked in the past week on the city's North Side. Two victims say they were beaten, robbed and left seriously injured. Lucas Wittwer described how he was robbed and beaten steps from Wrigley Field. "They punched me right in the side of the head and then I was on the ground," Wittwer said. Wittwer bears the scars of his assault and was briefly hospitalized. "I check in and from there, I got three CT scans and an x-ray for my elbow," Wittwer said. Wittwer, a DePaul student, is the most recent victim of a series of brazen, late-night muggings in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Seth Day says he was beaten and robbed on Halsted near Buckingham Place last week in an area bustling with bars and businesses. Day said he was beaten by a group of men who left him bloodied, then used his credit card nearby just hours later. In the incident on Clark, the offenders were described as being four black men between 25-30 years old, and one white female, 25-30 years old. In the incident on the 3300 block of Halsted, the offenders were described as three black males and one black female. (Black) Williamsport man kept (white) girlfriend's decomposing body in closet for weeks, police say  Williamsport Police have charged Hasan Gooden-Reid of 1630 Sherman Street, Williamsport with Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assult, Abuse of corpse and Criminal Mischief in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Kristina Pope, of the same address, Williamsport. Gooden-Reid is accused of stabbing Pope in the back several times, causing her death, on or around July 7, over three weeks ago. The police report says there was an argument and fight about a broken toilet in the apartment. Several neighbors had complained of foul odors coming from the apartment in recent days. When the Housing Authority crew entered the apartment Tuesday morning, they reportedly found some type of slime on the walls, sludge in the sink and smelled what they described as "decomposing meat". Police search for (black) man suspected of killing boss near KU Hospital   Authorities are still searching for an employee who is accused of shooting and killing his boss near the University of Kansas Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. Police are looking for Willie E. Parker, 46, in connection with the shooting at a parking lot in the 3900 block of Rainbow Boulevard. Parker is 6'2" and weighs 179 pounds. He works for a local medical transport company. Friends and family of the victim, Michel Ziade of Lee’s Summit, stopped by his family’s home all day Wednesday. He leaves behind a wife, young daughter and large extended family that are all left trying to understand what happened. (White) 9-year-old talks about luring attempt in Rock Falls (by black pedophile predator) Nine-year-old Michael Stern says he was walking with a friend, near a cornfield on the edge of his Rock Falls neighborhood, when a stranger offered them candy and then tried to grab them. “He lunged at us. He tried to grab us. He asked us if we wanted candy and we said no. He started coming toward us and I found this metal pipe, and said ‘Back off, otherwise I will hit you with it.’ He started running at us and we sprinted home,” Stern said. The suspect has been described as a black male, about 6 feet, wearing a white t-shirt, brown pants, and black and green tennis shoes. (White) Family Fights Back During West Side Home Invasion, Kills (black) Burglary Suspect     COLUMBUS, Ohio - Shots were fired in the middle of the night. A mother of three young children called 911 when the violence started. The frantic call came from the home on Scales, where a fight started. Her children were inside. Police say two armed men, Clement Cooper and Michael Long, had been burglarizing the house when a father and his two sons came back from work. Fights broke out and a woman caught up in the scuffle was shot in the neck. The father and his two sons were stabbed. One suspect, Cooper, died on the scene. Police took Long into custody. He faces murder charges. Alan Bolt spoke about the incident off camera. He lives in the home and said his brothers and father were stabbed multiple times in the fight. He said they defended their home. Bolt says the three children, ages four, three and six months, were inside but nowhere near the violence. Prosecutor: Cop Killer ‘Filled With Hatred,’ Said ‘Shoot The Police’  The man charged with killing Chicago Police Officer Thor Soderberg in 2010 was “filled with hatred” when he coldly fired three shots into the 11-year veteran with the officer’s service weapon, a prosecutor said Monday. On the opening day of the murder trial for Bryant Brewer, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Brian Sexton said Brewer hopped a fence outside a police station at 61st and Racine because he was “looking for the police,” the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting. Witnesses had heard Brewer mumbling “f— the police” and “shoot the police” as he walked toward the station in the afternoon of July 7, 2010, Sexton said in an opening statement before Cook County Judge Timothy Joyce. After a fight outside Soderberg’s car, Brewer grabbed the officer’s 9mm handgun and fired into his back, his right eye and the top of his head, Sexton said. Then he allegedly fired at a janitor and a police officer who was checking out what was happening, but he missed both of them. “He is proud he gunned down a police officer,” Sexton said, as Soderberg’s widow and his fellow officers listened in court. “He is a police officer’s worst nightmare.” - (Black-on-white) - (Blue lives matter) |

Victim's family speaks out after (interracial) couple arrested in Motel 6 homicide of (White) Kosovo migrant   The family of the man killed at a Motel 6 in Gates is speaking out after two people were arrested in connection with his murder. The suspects, Donovan Zuhlke of Rochester and Jessica Soble of Oswego, face second degree murder charges after Jehon Gervalla, 39, of Greece, was found dead inside a room at the motel. Gervalla and his family immigrated to the United States from Kosovo in 1999. He was known as a family man. "My brother was always there to support his family, his friends. He never knew how to say no," Feston Gervalla said. "We will miss him very much. May this never happen to anybody else in the future." Police responded to the Motel 6 on Buell Road around 2:30 a.m. Friday after receiving a call. They say they found Gervalla's body with trauma to his upper torso. Investigators say he was stabbed. Police say Zuhlke and Soble met ten days ago when Soble came to Rochester for medical treatment. Investigators tell us that on Thursday night, Zuhlke and Soble decided to rob Gervalla. Jury convicts (black) suspect of murder in 2011 death of (White) Vallejo Police Officer James Capoot  FAIRFIELD, Calif. -- A Solano County jury has found Henry Albert Smith Jr. guilty on all counts of first-degree murder in the 2011 death of Vallejo Police Officer James Capoot. Capoot was fatally shot as he chased down Smith in a North Vallejo neighborhood following a bank robbery. Capoot pursued the suspect behind some homes and shots were fired. When Capoot's fellow officers reached him they saw that he had been shot three times. He died from his injuries. Deliberations in the trial had to restart twice. Just this week, the judge removed a juror for bias against police after the juror allegedly called a bailiff quote "a thug with a gun." Earlier, a juror had to be replaced due to a health emergency. (White) McKees Rocks Man Beaten (by three blacks) During Robbery Has Died From His Injuries  MCKEES ROCKS - Allegheny County Police are calling the death of a McKees Rocks man a homicide. Back on May 26, 44-year-old David Poole was walking home with a friend near the West Park neighborhood in the Stowe Township/McKees Rocks area. Poole and his friend were attacked by three men and robbed of $60 in cash. Poole was struck on the head with an object during the robbery. He passed away Saturday morning at a local hospital from his injuries. County police have ruled the death a homicide. The thieves also stole Poole’s friend’s purse and his cell phone. Vigil held in Charlotte for (White female) victim of 25-year-old cold case - her throat slashed by black handyman  CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s been 25 years since a woman was found dead inside her south Charlotte home, and the homicide case remains unsolved. Kim Thomas was found handcuffed, with her throat slashed, in her home on Churchill Road July 23, 1990. On Saturday Thomas’ sister, Lynn Thomas, held a vigil in Freedom Park to mark the 25th anniversary of her sister’s death. "Whoever is arrested for this, that will be a very sweet day the wheels of justice have turned and things are being resolved and it's just time,” Lynn Thomas said. (Black) Kansas City boyfriend charged with murder in (white) woman’s May 25 killing   A Kansas City man has been charged with murder in the May 25 shooting death of Nicole Appleberry, 27. Police found Appleberry dead, shot in the back inside the house she shared with Dewayne A. Cornelius, 35, in the 3200 block of East 28th street shortly before 10 p.m. Prosecutors accused Cornelius of shooting Appleberry during a domestic dispute, after demanding sex from her and another woman in the house. Cornelius was arrested and charged Monday with murder and armed criminal action. Cornelius had first been questioned in the killing on May 29, days after Appleberry’s death. He did not cooperate with police and was not charged, according to court documents. Police found a 9mm handgun and spent shell casings near Appleberry’s body. Investigators linked the gun to Cornelius through witnesses who said Cornelius was known to carry the gun in a camouflage bag. An empty camouflage bag was found next to the gun at the crime scene, according to police. One woman, an acquaintance of Cornelius, told police that after the shooting Cornelius asked her to go to his house “to go help his girl and grab his gun.” But after entering the house and finding Appleberry’s body, she “freaked out and left,” according to court documents. - (Black-on-white) |

Wilmington playground death ruled homicide; (white) victim's (homeless black) boyfriend arrested   WILMINGTON, Del. -- Wilmington police have arrested the boyfriend of a woman who was found dead on a playground in Wilmington, Delaware. 34-year-old Gary Perkins of Wilmington is charge with 1st degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Jamie Murphy of New Castle. Police were dispatched at 10:30 a.m. Thursday to Canby Park, located in the area of the 600 block of South Union Street, for the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival officers located Jamie Murphy of New Castle unresponsive on a piece of playground equipment. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Part of her clothing appeared to be at her ankles. Investigators canvassed Canby Park. A drone was deployed to search from above, and metal detectors were used to inspect the grassy areas. Within hours detectives identified Perkins as a suspect. Shortly thereafter he was taken into custody in the area of 10th and King Streets. After questioning, Perkins was booked on the charge of Murder in the 1st Degree. Black boyfriend is suspect in kidnap and disappearance of innocent little White boy     JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The man who police say lied about a car theft and the abduction of his girlfriend's toddler and who is charged with child neglect is now considered a suspect the disappearance of the boy. A massive search for 21-month-old Lonzie Barton who disappeared sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 2:20 a.m. Friday, continues, with the focus shifting Saturday to an area near Phillips Highway and Interstate 295. "There is still some hope that we can find little Lonzie alive; although, over time, that hope fades," Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Chief of Detectives Tom Hackney said Saturday night.
Hackney said it is especially frustrating because the man in custody, William Ebron Jr., knows (where) Lonzie is, but he won't tell police. "We are not working this as a stranger abduction anymore. We're still listing it as an Amber Alert, still working it as a child abduction with a missing person," Hackney said. "Ebron is lying to us,” Hackney said of the original story that Lonzie as taken when Ebron's car was stolen when he briefly back inside to get something. “He went back to the apartment to do cocaine. That turns him into part of a monster, to do that.” "I don't know if Lonzie is alive or dead."Ebron was getting ready to pick up Lonzie's mother, 25-year-old Lonna Lauramore Barton, from her job at Wacko's Gentlemen's Club. 3 (blacks) charged in Merrillville parking lot killing (of White man)  Three men have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Merrillville man who was killed in the parking lot of his apartment complex. Latrell Dewone McGee, 21, of Merrillville; Devon Jarilone Brown, 22, of Gary, and James Devontae Najee, 22, of Sauk Village, Ill., were charged with murder in the death of Cecil Pendleton, 55, who was fatally shot at about 5:11 a.m. May 6 in the parking lot of Tan Tar A Apartments, 150 E. 59th Ave., the Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force announced in a press release. Pendleton was shot in his work van and pronounced dead at Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus in Merrillville. Investigators learned that several men were breaking into cars in the complex parking lot when they saw Pendleton and tried to rob him. Witnesses saw the suspects run from the scene after the shooting and heard sounds of a vehicle speeding from the scene. Officers found Pendleton after responding to a 911 call of men shooting at a man inside a vehicle. (Black) Clearwater man charged in TV set stomping death (of White man)  Clearwater, Florida -- Homicide detectives Thursday charged Marshall Harris, 35, with first-degree murder in the TV set stomping death of another man May 4. The body of Charles Ferrell was found in an abandoned house at 806 N Osceola Ave. Police said he had been hit in the head and face with a large, old-style TV set and a glass jug, and also was stomped on. Police say Harris admitted to others that he had beaten and killed Ferrell. Harris has been arrested 13 times in Pinellas County since 2007, mostly for possession of cocaine, and also for disorderly intoxication, trespass and battery, according to jail records. Police ID officer wounded in shootout with murder suspect in Northeast Philadelphia    Philadelphia Police have released the identity of the officer who was shot by a suspect in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday morning. Authorities say the suspect shot Officer Francis Whalen, a 17-year veteran assigned to SWAT, in the stomach with a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Police say Whalen returned fire striking the suspect, Devon Guishard (aka Devon Guisherd), as he ran towards a bedroom. Officials say Officer Whalen and Guishard were both rushed to Aria-Torresdale Hospital where Guishard was later pronounced dead. Authorities say Officer Whalen’s vest absorbed the bullet fired by the suspect. He was treated for a contusion to his stomach and released from the hospital a few hours later. Police say officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 1400 block of West 71st Avenue in West Oak Lane around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14th. Officers found a man lying on the ground in the rear of of an apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was identified as Frederic Schmid. Medics responded and pronounced the Frederic at 7:18am. (White) 61-Year-Old Was Innocent Bystander In Deadly Shooting, Daughter Says   COLUMBUS, Ohio - A 61-year-old man is dead after a shooting Monday night, but his daughter says he wasn’t the intended target. Emmala Mahon says her father Charlie Mahon was everything to her family. “He was always there for everybody; he was the glue,” she recalls. The family says Charlie had no idea there was a man outside his home with a gun when he entered his back door on Springmont and South Highland Avenues. By the time he came to the front door, a shot was fired. Four more followed. Mahon fell near the door. Calls to 911 followed. Caller: My dad's been shot in the head. Dispatcher: Who shot him? Who shot him, ma'am? Caller: Some guy named Jallen. The family says some kind of argument between the friend of the shooter and someone in the house sparked the gunfire. Police say Jallen Hall fired the gun, and 21-year-old Alexa Curtis called him to carry out the attack. Both are wanted for murder. Police have not located either of them. It happened July 5th around midnight at the man's Georgia Highway 26 home. Seven teenagers, all of Colquitt County, have been charged with 68 year-old John Hester's death. Adrian Robinson, Brandon Wynn, Christian Glover, Derrick Phillips, Ty'Cameron Hayes, Tykerious Jones, and I-Key Pinkins are each charged with murder and Criminal Intent to Commit Armed Robbery. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations says the group stole firearms and electronics from a Norman Park Home the day of the crime. That gun, they believe, was used in the shooting death of Hester. "The group planned on robbing Mr. Hester's son, who lives across the road. During that attempt, Mr. Hester encountered them, shots were exchanged between the two, and of course Mr. Hester was struck by one of the bullets and subsequently died", says Assistant Special Agent In Charge, Bahan Rich. (Black) Platter man arrested for murder in deadly June crash - drunken DUI and hit-and-run - White woman dead  COLBERT, OKLA. -- OHP Troopers arrested Ramon Rashad Jordan, 34, of Platter on Monday at the Love's in Colbert. He will face murder charges for the death of 19 year-old Rehbecca Teafatiller. OHP says Teafatiller died in the early morning of June 27, when Jordan crashed his car into hers on Leavenworth Trail. Troopers say Jordan's blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit. He faces a count of second degree murder, and a count of leaving the scene of a fatality accident. Police report: (White) Talala homicide victim died while bound and gagged in back of pickup  A Tulsa man who was arrested after the body of a missing Talala man was found this week told police the victim’s death occurred after he was bound and gagged and left in a covered pickup bed on a hot day, police said in an arrest report. Vernon Lee-Mountel Smith was arrested in Tulsa on Monday in the death of Chazz Holly, 27, whose body was found alongside the Indian Nation Turnpike in Pushmataha County on Sunday afternoon. Holly, who had cerebral palsy and delayed cognitive reasoning, was last seen alive in Tulsa on June 20. His parents reported him missing the next day, filing a missing person report with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. Following his arrest, Smith, 27, told investigators that he, Holly and a friend had devised a plan to sell a GMC Sierra pickup owned by Holly’s father for $1,000 in Longview, Texas, according to Smith’s arrest report. The plan eventually evolved into a drug deal, Smith reportedly told investigators. When Holly backed out of the deal, the other men bound and gagged him and threw him into the covered bed of the pickup while at an apartment complex in Tulsa. (Black) Georgia boxer known as ‘Terrible Thomas’ charged with (white) wife’s murder South Georgia boxer Yathomas Riley has been charged with the murder of his wife, a local emergency room physician found shot in the head earlier this month inside the couple’s Leesburg home. Authorities told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Riley has suggested that his wife committed suicide — a similar defense to the one that, three years ago, led to his acquittal on attempted murder charges in Florida. “This is one of those cases where he’s essentially claiming that he has no knowledge of how she died,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Mike Walsingham said Tuesday. “And is pretty much indicating that she shot herself.” According to information previously released by the GBI, Riley called 911 shortly after 8:30 a.m. on July 10 to report that he had found his wife, 34-year-old Dr. Lisa Marie Riley, unresponsive inside their Northampton Road home. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene, and an autopsy later determined that she’d died of a gunshot wound to the head.On Aug. 17, 2012, Yathomas Riley walked out of a different jail, the Miami-Dade Pre-Trial Detention Center, as a free man. He had been incarcerated for nearly two years on attempted murder charges, criminal accusations filed against him following the shooting of Koketia King, a woman described as his on-again, off-again girlfriend. King, a Florida City corrections officer, survived the ordeal and told authorities that Riley shot her three times during an argument. Riley contended that King shot herself. Five weeks before Lisa Riley’s death, she told police her husband pointed a handgun at her head while accusing her of cheating. He was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one of simple battery. “He apparently held a gun to her on three different occasions,” Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals said of the June 14 incident at the couple’s home. “During one of those times, he had his legs wrapped around her neck and upper chest area.” . - (Black-on-white) |

On June 21, Lindsay Nichols, 31, was found in the trunk of her car when firefighters and police responded to a car fire at the intersection of Lake Forest and Michoud boulevards. The coroner later determined that she had been shot multiple times. Thayon Samson, 30, was arrested and booked with one count of second-degree murder Monday. Samson was arrested for Nichols' murder. (Black) Sexual assault suspect sentenced to 14 years in prison for violent rape of a 91-year-old (White) woman  PHOENIX -- It was a brutal case that shocked a Tempe neighborhood, a 91-year-old woman was violently raped inside her own home. Now, the man who carried out the attack was sentenced to 14 years in prison. But before the judge handed down the sentence, his victim spoke out in court. "I am here today as an advocate for women who are sexually assaulted to report the incident," said the victim named Anne. Courage comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages. During the sentencing hearing, it came in the form of a 91-year-old woman. "I am here today to ask women, in general, if this happens to you, do not be embarrassed, do not be ashamed, be strong, go to the police," said Anne. Anne was inside her Tempe home back in October of 2014 when a man, later identified as Ekwunze Owen, broke into her house and sexually assaulted her. Police say Owen was responsible for a string of sex crimes, it first began with trespassing, then it escalated into indecent exposure, and eventually rape. (Grotesque black) Lawton man charged with manslaughter (of White man)  LAWTON, Okla - James Davis Jr., the suspect in Lawton’s fifth homicide of 2015, was charged Friday. Davis is accused of fatally stabbing 36-year-old Keith Kern Friday night. Court documents say Davis and the victim were dating the same woman and the three had run-ins before. Witnesses say the woman stabbed the victim herself just three weeks before he was killed by Davis. Kern was found dead at a home on Southwest "A" Avenue July 10. The affidavit says Davis had gone to the home to help the woman move out when he and the victim got into an altercation and Davis stabbed the victim six times. Davis was arrested two days later. When officers took him in, they found a cell phone and what appeared to be a note with detailed questions and answers about the murder. Officers then obtained a warrant to search the phone, but have not released any details on what they found. Davis is charged with first-degree manslaughter. - (Black-on-white) |

New details emerge about (white) woman found shot in tub at east side home  INDIANAPOLIS – Police released new information in the murder of a 34-year-old woman found in the basement of an east side home. When officers arrived they saw a black male, later identified as Stephen Jones, 32, walk out of the residence. Jones told the officers everything was fine and there was no one else inside the house. Several officers then went into the basement where they found a dead woman in a blue plastic tub. The woman’s head, arm, and leg were covered in plastic trash bags. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the woman was shot in the chest and the face and she had several other injuries to her head. Additionally, her ankle had a large laceration and it appeared to be broken. "Candace" told police she owned the house. She said she got into a fight with Jones over missing money. The woman said she left the house at 7 p.m., and when she left her friend Martha Cronkhite, 34, was at the house with Jones. CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston Police arrested a second suspect in a strong armed robbery that happened Monday near America and Lee Streets in downtown Charleston. Michael Eugene Nickens, 22, of Dingle Street, has been charged with strong armed robbery. Nickens, who is on parole for grand larceny, is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center. According to police, the victim went to the corner of America Street and Lee Street to use the pay phone when he was grabbed from behind and held by one of the suspects. Then, at least three or four other suspects assaulted and robbed him. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS. Jamar Aikeem Brown, 19, of Jackson Street, was arrested about 40 minutes after the incident at Jackson Street and America Street. Brown, who also is charged with strong armed robbery, is also being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
