Video shows (Indian) Montreal jewelry store worker throwing acid at (black) robbers They are the images Richardson François hoped would never surface in public. By his own admission, the 31-year-old convicted killer who has close ties to a Montreal street gang had sunk to a new low in his life when, on Jan. 22, 2013, he and an accomplice, Jerry Theodore, walked into a jewelry store in Park Extension with the goal of robbing it. What they did not expect was that the owner of the store, Vijay Verma, and his relatives would fight back even though François was armed with a pistol and Theodore was carrying a machete. During the melee that ensued, after François pulled out the pistol, one of Verma’s relatives picked up a tray full of nitric acid — commonly used to clean jewelry — and tossed it in François and Theodore’s faces. The acid left lifelong scars on their faces. François also lost 50 per cent of the vision in one of his eyes. - (Canada) |

Canada: Black with African name - Randy Tshilumba, 19, charged with first-degree murder of (White woman) who 'rebuffed him' A 19-year-old man has been charged with the first-degree murder of Clemence Beaulieu-Patry. Randy Tshilumba was at a relative's home in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve at midnight Tuesday night when he was arrested by the SWAT team and taken into custody. Police say he offered no resistance. The suspect was detained at the Place Versailles operational centre and questioned by police before appearing in court. Dozens of Beaulieu-Patry’s friends turned up at the courthouse to get a glimpse of Tshilumba, who sat nervously in the prisoner’s box. He was handcuffed and said nothing during the arraignment. “The only thing I can confirm is that he appeared for murder in the first degree,” said Crown prosecutor Sonia Lebel. Const. Abdullah Emran said the suspect knew the victim. Friends say Tshilumba was interested in some type of relationship with Beaulieu-Patry, but she rebuffed him. On Sunday evening, Beaulieu-Patry was working in the clothing section of the Maxi grocery store, when a man entered the store, walked directly to Beaulieu-Patry, and stabbed her in the neck, back, and slit both wrists. She died at the scene in front of horrified onlookers while her father was waiting in the parking lot to drive her home once she finished work. - - (Canada) - (Black-on-white) |
