Black sentenced for Bridgeton robbery in which White woman was murdered  Keith Costello, 29, was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the robbery of a loan store in Bridgeton in 2005. Last month, a St. Louis County jury found him guilty of first-degree robbery but could not reach a verdict on a murder charge, which has been reset for trial Feb. 22. Costello robbed the Loan Machine and is accused of killing worker Mary Mehlberg, 50, of St. Charles. Another man, Charles E. Great Dane stops sex attack, corners black suspect A good Samaritan and his Great Dane came to the aid of a girl who was being attacked and kept the suspect at bay until police arrived. At 4:44 p.m. Thursday, the 14-year-old girl had just gotten off a Diversey Avenue bus and was walking north when she noticed a man following her. When she arrived at a gate near her home, the victim told police, she saw the man running toward her. As she ran up the steps to her home, the man caught her, threw her to the ground and got on top of her and tried to pull her clothing off. She struggled and screamed and hearing her screams a neighbor came to her aid with his dog, described as a Great Dane. Police arrested Larry Smith, 28, of the 3700 block of South Wells Street. Black Serial Rapist on Loose in Detroit Detroit authorities believe that a serial rapist is on the loose. Police say that they believe a man is responsible for raping at least six women in ten days. The latest victim was a 17-year-old high school girl who got raped in an abandoned garage when she was coming home from school Monday night. "He has a gun... and he (is) like, 'Just come and get in the car. Be a good girl. Everything (is) going to be okay," a 23-year-old rape victim said.. Sketch of Black Riverdale Sex Assault Suspect Released Chicago - Police in south suburban Riverdale released the sketch of a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted two teenage girls Thursday afternoon and may have approached a third young woman. About 7 p.m. Thursday, the 17-year-olds were walking home after getting off a Pace Bus near the intersection of 142nd and Halsted streets. Dover black wanted in rape of 10-year-old girl Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a Dover man, charging him with the rape Friday of a 10-year-old girl. Reginald Waters, 24, is being sought by Dover police on charges of first-degree rape, attempted rape, three counts of unlawful sexual contact, attempted unlawful sexual contact and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Black Alameda doctor accused of sexual battery A doctor who practices in Alameda has been arrested and charged with sexual battery for allegedly touching a patient inappropriately, police said Tuesday. Ernest Lee Simms, 73, of Oakland was arrested Jan. 4 on suspicion of sexually battering a 28-year-old Alameda woman under his care, police Lt. Sean Lynch said. Partially naked Australia tourist left in alley behind bar after being raped by black(s) TUSTIN – Two men are being charged with the rape and kidnapping of a woman who was in the country visiting relatives for the holidays. The woman had joined her relatives at Godfathers Bar, to celebrate, police said, when the four suspects approached the woman and were drinking with her. Johnson is accused of taking the unsteady victim outside to his parked car, putting her in the back seat and raping her while she was unable to resist due to intoxication.Later, the four men left after dropping the partially clothed woman on a mattress in an alleyway near the bar. 27-year-old Akeem Jelani Johnson, was arrested. Black Child Rape Suspect Sought by Dover Police Dover police are looking for a suspect accused of raping a 10-year-old girl. Police say that on the evening of Friday, Jan. 7, 24-year-old Reginald D. Waters, who is an acquaintance of the victim's mother, was alone with the child at a home on the unit block of Forest Creek Drive. Waters tried to force the victim to touch his genitals. Police say that when the victim refused to touch him, Waters began to fondle the child and perform oral sex on her. Waters then attempted to penetrate the child but was unsuccessful. Black man charged in two rapes Police say they've charged a Goldsboro man with two burglary/sex assaults. John Lewis Chapman II, 22, of 3668 Wayne Memorial Drive was arrested Friday morning. Police said the first assault took place March 18. The second happened Friday morning. Suspect in Texas serial rapes is black prison employee Authorities on Monday heralded the capture of a suspected serial rapist who they believe may have attacked a dozen elderly women in Texas in the past two years, saying he is among the most wanted men in the state. The police dubbed the attacker "The Twilight Rapist." "It's safe to say he was one of the most wanted men in Texas over the last year and a half," Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Tom Vinger said. "It's hard to overstate the significance of this arrest." Billy Joe Harris, 53, was being held on a charge of burglary with intent to commit a felony in Jackson County, about 100 miles southwest of Houston. Black Sought In Rape Of Woman Waiting For Bus Deputies released a composite sketch of a man accused of raping a woman waiting at a bus stop in Orange County. The 41-year-old victim was at a bus stop near 17th Street and South Orange Blossom Trail early Sunday morning when a suspect, armed with a gun, forced her into a nearby wooded area and sexually assaulted her. Investigators said the suspect fled the scene toward Westmoreland Drive and the victim called the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The suspect is described to be in his mid-20s, six feet tall and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. Canton Police Arrest Black In Rape Of 5-Year-Old A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of a 5-year-old girl, Canton police said Friday. The incident took place Dec. 26 at a Canton apartment complex. The girl was hospitalized after the attack. The results of DNA taken as a result of a rape kit led to the arrest of Challis Lewis, of Canton, the Madison County district attorney and police said. He is charged with burglary, kidnapping and rape of a child. Residents of the Frey's Lane Apartments said Kendria Riley, 26, was baby-sitting the 5-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy but left them alone in her apartment. Black accused of raping girl, 4, in St. Louis County giving her gonorrhea and chlamydia A man has been accused in court here of sexual contact with a 4-year-old girl that left her with sexually transmitted diseases, officials said. James M. Davis, 19, of East St. Louis, was charged with first-degree statutory rape. According to the arrest warrant, the girl was victimized in a St. Louis County apartment between October 2009 and January 2010.

Black arrested in grandmother, mother's deaths Fayetteville Police have arrested a man months after his grandmother and mother were found dead at their home. Tarae Lamont Mosby, 29, returned to Fayetteville Friday and was formally charged with the murder of his mother, 47-year-old Karen Mosby and his grandmother, 69-year-old Betty Pettigrew. Quevius Thornton, 29, was arrested and placed on administrative leave following an investigation by DeKalb police detectives. Black Charged In Rape Of 75-Year-Old Leavenworth Woman A Leavenworth man has been charged in connection with the rape of a 75-year-old woman last month. Andre R. Connally, 19, was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated burglary. The charges stem from an incident on Nov. 19 at a house on Idaho Street. The victim told police she had been awakened in the early morning hours by a man in the house. Convicted Black Rapist Linked To Unsolved Slayings  A convicted rapist has been linked through DNA to two unsolved slayings, police said. DeAngelo Banks, 25, of Indianapolis, was arrested Thursday on warrants while in the custody of the Indiana Department of Correction. Police said Banks killed Margaret Russell, 45, whose body was found by maintenance workers in an abandoned apartmen in 2009. DNA also linked Banks to the slaying of Debra Harper, 41, in her home November 2009. Suspects, muscle car sought in music store slaying Police are searching for two suspects involved in a deadly shooting at a north Houston store Thursday. Two armed men entered the Urban Soundz record store at 8650 North Houston Rosslyn at about 6:40 p.m. and fatally shot Justin Aaron Conrad, 27, and wounded another man.
Police have identified and charged Eric Cooper with the slaying of Conrad.
Investigators are also searching for the second suspect.

Authorities are seeking Moss Point resident Willie B. Gant in connection to a shooting that took place on Christmas morning at Club Silk, formally know as the Paradise Lounge. Couple beaten outside Walmart by black Khalid El-Amin Muhammad A Franklin man was jailed after allegedly using a club to beat a Southampton County couple outside Walmart after an apparent altercation inside the store. Khalid El-Amin Muhammad, 41, formerly known as Keith Nesbitt, is accused of attacking the unidentified husband and wife from behind as they left the store. Both were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital with what police called serious injuries. “That’s when I heard a bunch of screaming and yelling,” he said. “All I could see was blonde hair flying around. New York police arrest black in case of body found in suitcase Police have arrested a man in connection in the death of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase last week. Hassan Malik, 55, has been charged with murder in the second degree, police said late Monday. As police were leading Malik away, a reporter asked if he was sorry for what he allegedly did. "Yes," Malik replied. The victim, 28-year-old Betty Williams from the Bronx, was found Wednesday -- strangled and then stuffed into a dark-colored piece of luggage, authorities said. Del. Black Goes on Christmas Stabbing Rampage: Cops Police arrested 44-year-old Vincent Stevens of Wilmington on Christmas. He allegedly stabbed two 24-year-olds and a 36-year-old during a gathering in an apartment, cops said. Homeless black suspect in blunt trauma murder of sleeping homeless man Tulsa police are investigating the city's 59th homicide, which occurred early Christmas morning. When police arrived they found 51-year-old Russell Leon Smith Jr. who appeared to have suffered a blunt trauma to the head. Police say Smith, who was homeless, was sleeping when he was beaten with an unknown object. Black accused of rape, impersonating officer A man with prior sexual offense convictions was charged with posing as a policeman and raping a woman in Kansas City, Kan. Prosecutors say the man approached a woman in the Walmart parking lot and told her she was under arrest for shoplifting. The woman got in his car and he drove her to the nearby parking lot at Best Buy. He later released the woman. The district attorney’s office charged Wesley Earl Watson, 55, with rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated intimidation of a victim, impersonation of a law enforcement officer and aggravated sexual battery. Watson was convicted in Sedgwick County in 1977 of attempted rape and in 1984 of rape and aggravated sodomy. Search on for black Houston sex offender on parole violation Authorities are searching for a convicted sex offender wanted for a parole violation. Arthur William Brown, 54, has convictions for aggravated rape as well as aggravated sexual abuse of a child and other offenses. He is a registered sex offender with the Houston Police Department. Black jail guard accused of raping two women A Metropolitan Detention Center guard accused of raping two female inmates went before a judge in Metro Court. Torry Chambers’ alleged criminal history at the detention center began in 2008. Chambers allegedly befriended Anthony Townes, an inmate at MDC and a former guard at a women’s facility charged with raping four women there. Chambers is accused of letting Townes into the cell of a female inmate, so that he could rape her. LAPD gets hundreds of calls in black serial killer 'Grim Sleeper' case  LOS ANGELES (AP) — Investigators received hundreds of calls after releasing photographs of women seized at the home of Lonnie Franklin Jr. accused of the "Grim Sleeper" serial killings. A detective expected the tally of calls to reach 1,000 by the day's end. Several callers said they were among the women in the photographs, but detectives must interview each one to make sure. Police want to know who the women in the photographs are and fear some of them could have been victims of a crime. Albuquerque police searching for black ringleader of home-invastion gang Albuquerque police are looking for a young man wanted in connection with a series of violent home invasions. Hamilton Webb, 19, is one of at least four suspects believed to be involved in an organized spree of home invasions. According to several criminal complaints, Webb has been identified as the leader of a group of armed thugs who forced their way into a home near Yale and Gibson boulevards in southeast Albuquerque on Dec. 7. Raleigh black accused of raping two children A 36-year-old Raleigh man who is accused of raping two children was being held in the Wake County jail on a $5 million bond. Investigators say Anthony Hayes sexually abused one of the children for nearly five years, beginning when the child was 8 years old. He is accused of raping a 13-year-old in August 2008, according to the arrest warrants. Black charged with assaulting girl, 11 A 53-year-old man has been charged with assaulting an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing. Derrick Turner, 53, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, according to police. The girl lives in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side and was reported missing Saturday. The victim was a runaway, and Turner met her about 1 a.m. last Saturday on an "L" train. Turner invited the girl to his home, and they walked there from the "L." Fuquay black charged in rape of 3-year-old  N.C. — A Fuquay-Varina man was charged Saturday with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old, according to arrest warrants. Alonzo Quentin Powell, 21, was charged with first-degree sexual offense, rape of a child and indecent liberties with a child. Warrants state that the offenses took place between Oct. 15 and Nov. 5. Black County Worker Charged With Homo Raping Jail Inmate Bond was set at $300,000 Thursday for a Cook County hospital employee charged with sexually assaulting at Cook County Jail inmate at Cermak Hospital. Alphonzo Hill, 45, is charged with criminal sexual assault, custodial sexual misconduct and official misconduct – all felonies. In May, Hill was in a minimum-security jail dispensary room with a 46-year-old inmate who was there for routine care. During the visit, Hill told the man his doctor had ordered a more detailed medical examination. Though Hill was not authorized, nor licensed to carry out this exam, he told the man he could do it. Black arrested for homo molestation of 9-year-old boy in bathroom The victim, a 9 year old male, reported an incident that had just occurred in a bathroom at a local department store. The victim stated that he was in the restroom using the bathroom and "Minding his own business". He stated that a male, later identified as Shawn Darnell Sheffield started taking pictures of his private area. The victim stated that he told the offender to stop and "Punched him in the back". He stated the offender ignored him and then touched his private areas in the front and back of his person. Black husband charged in White Brookhaven woman's shooting death On Dec. 2, Gail Coone Pendleton and her husband James Pendleton were taking pictures for Facebook, kissing and laughing. Two days later, James Pendleton, 41, was being booked into the Lincoln County Jail, accused of murder after he allegedly shot her in front of at least one of their children. Also among Gail's Facebook photos was an eerie picture of James holding a gun in front of his chest, and underneath it, Gail had playfully written, "My bad hubby but don't he look good." Cops say the same black thug is suspect in three different rapes in East Flatbush  A violent predator attacked and raped a 36-year-old woman in her Brooklyn apartment last week - and cops say the same man is wanted for assaulting two other women on the same block. The victim spotted the man in the lobby of her East Flatbush building when she arrived home shortly before 2 a.m. on Friday. The rapist - who is believed to be in his 20s and stands about 5-feet-10 - pushed his way into her apartment behind her and raped her, police said. Last May, he allegedly pushed his way into a 32-year-old woman's apartment, where he raped and robbed her. Second black pimp also gets life in prison Another Hammond man was sentenced to life in prison for his role in a prostitution ring that tricked girls into working for men who then beat and drugged them to keep them in line. Jovan Demont Stewart, 31, had asked U.S. District Judge Rudy Lozano for leniency, saying he was afraid of Justin Cephus, who also received a life sentence Monday for his role in the case. Cephus and Stewart were convicted in November 2009 on numerous charges of pimping women, including girls as young as 16. A federal indictment claimed the men drugged the women and beat them to make sure they kept having sex with them and the clients. Black rape suspect arrested, eight years later Patience pays off for Tampa Police. Eight years after a crime, they arrest a rape suspect. Detectives accuse Russell Quinton of attacking a woman near North Central Avenue back in August 2002. They ran the suspect's DNA through the statewide database after his arrest for robbery ,over the summer. Three black afro-negroid teens murder 12-year-old White girl in home invasion     Three teens were charged with murder Monday night in connection with the slaying of a 12-year-old girl in her Moore County home last week. Authorities arrested Van Roger Smith Jr., 16, and Sherrod Nicholas Harrison, 19, Monday afternoon. After a search, the Moore County Sheriff's Office took Michael Graham Currie, 18, into custody Monday night. All three teens were charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of breaking and entering. All are from Cameron. Twelve-year-old Emily Elizabeth Haddock was shot to death Friday in her home on Marks Road outside of Vass, authorities said. The girl had stayed home from school with strep throat and was alone. "(She was) very quiet, soft spoken, always had a smile. Smiling Black pleads not guilty to running down a white family in McDonald's parking lot - killing 2-year-old   The black man accused of running down five white family members and killing a 2-year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Covington last May pleaded not guilty. Lanny Perry Barnes, 46, attended the 15-minute arraignment hearing wearing street clothes and no expression on his face. Sitting behind him was Stephanie Casola, the mother who was hit, along with her two sons, niece, and sister, by Barnes' vehicle. Witnesses told police that Barnes struck the family, backed up, smiled, and drove into them again. Casola's niece, Avery King, died of her injuries. Black Sex Offender Charged With Kidnap-Rape-Kill of White 11-year-old Jacksonville Girl In 1996  Fla. -- A Connecticut sex offender will be returned to Florida to face a murder charge after being linked to the decade-old rape and drowning of an 11-year-old girl through a database of DNA from convicted sex offenders. Robert Shelton Mitchell, 43, was being held on a $5 million bond after being arraigned as a fugitive. He will face first-degree murder and capital sexual battery charges in the death of Cherie Morrisette of Jacksonville. The Mandarin Middle School student body was found on Dec. 8, 1996, floating in the St. John's River about 10 miles south of the apartment she shared with her mother and sister. An autopsy determined that Cherie drowned shortly after her disappearance on Dec. 2, 1996, and was alive when she either fell into the river or was thrown in. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl's death, police said Thursday.
