immigrant ended in a mistrial after jurors deadlocked on the assualt charge

Nethercott, 37, a convicted felon who served prison time in California,
was found guilty of the felony charge of possession of a firearm. But the court
declared a mistrial on the assault charge against him. The defendant is accused
of pistol-whipping Edwin Alfredo Mancia Gonzales, 26, while on armed patrol

migrant sentenced for rape of 12-year-old girl - another Haitian raped 14-year-old Edmond
Joseph, 22, was convicted in of first-degree rape and endangering the welfare
of a child. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison. In 2002, Joseph and
Ygord Beliard claimed they were deejays and lured a 12-year-old
and 14-year-old girl back to Joseph's apartment. Joseph raped the 12-year-old
girl and Beliard raped the 14-year-old. Beliard faces up to 11 years in prison.
After their sentences, Joseph and Beliard will likely be deported back to Haiti.

N.D. -- Chol Deng Chol sits in jail in his adopted homeland, charged
with rape and facing deportation if convicted. His case has embarrassed many
who championed the so-called "Lost Boys of Sudan," one of thousands

two teenage girls after a night of drinking at his apartment. He was
charged April 28 with two counts of gross sexual imposition and delivering alcohol

migrant Jose Martinez from Mexico charged in rape of 78-year-old worman Gainesville
police may be one step closer to solving a two-year-old rape case. Jose Martinez
was arrested Friday morning by Gainesville Police, and is accused of raping
a 78-year-old woman in November of 2002. Investigators say Martinez,
who is from Mexico, has been living illegally in the states for almost 12 years.
Martinez was arrested in March for sexually assaulting another woman, and the
DNA evidence from that case led Gainesville Police to charging Martinez in the

Border Agents Found Dead in Ariz. TUCSON, Ariz. -- Two off-duty border
agents based in Texas were found dead Friday southwest of Tucson in what authorities
were investigating as a murder-suicide. The agents were identified as Arturo

a program started last year in which immigrants were flown to Texas border cities
so they would be deported far from Arizona. That program moved 6,000 Mexicans,

then bus tickets to their homes. If they refuse, they will be deported through
