McDonald’s ordered to pay $27M in deaths of teens - following pack attack by black mob BRYAN — A Central Texas jury on Wednesday ordered McDonald’s to pay $27 million in actual damages to the families of two teenagers killed in a car accident while en route to a hospital after a fight outside the fast-food restaurant. In a statement, McDonald’s said it will appeal the verdict. A release from the attorney representing the families of 18-year-old Denton James Ward of Flower Mound and 19-year-old Lauren Bailey Crisp of Dripping Springs said McDonald’s lax security led to their deaths in 2012 in College Station. The two were with another couple when they stopped at the restaurant. The young men were beaten by a mob in the parking lot. Their girlfriends tried to get them to a hospital but the driver ran a red light and was hit by a pickup, killing Crisp. The release says evidence at the trial showed police were called more than 20 times to break up fights at the restaurant in the year leading up to the incident. The families believed McDonald’s should have provided better security at the restaurant. Witnesses testified that Ward died in the parking lot after being kicked and stomped on by as many as 20 attackers, according to the release. McDonald’s maintained that Ward died in the car wreck that followed, and that the company wasn’t responsible for the teens’ safety. One of the attackers was sentenced to 90 days in jail for assaulting Ward’s male friend. No other arrests were made. - (Black-on-white) |

White woman, 74, has wallet stolen when black couple offer ride in rain, police say OCALA, Fla. —A local woman is swindled out of her wallet when an apparent good Samaritan offered her a ride. Josephine Lupo, 74, was angry to the point of tears describing how she became a victim of credit card fraud. "I had to call everybody," Lupo said. She said it was a giant hassle to deal with the identity theft. On July 5, Lupo was walking to her car in the Walmart parking lot at 4980 East Silver Springs Blvd. when a woman approached and offered Lupo a ride from her husband to her car. Lupo had her purse and wallet when she got in the vehicle, but a short time after the woman and her husband dropped Lupo off the senior citizen realized her wallet was missing. "Bad! Very bad. I would not do that to anyone. I would not do that to anybody," Lupo said. While police try to figure that out, big developments came in the case. A woman who was not involved in giving Lupo a ride tried to use the stolen American Express and Macy's cards. Black man who killed white prostitute, spit on corpse pleads guilty GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The man police say strangled a woman and spit on her body after dumping it along Plaster Creek on the city's Southeast Side pleaded guilty to the August, 2013 slaying.. Today's surprise plea by Demarco Marquis Carnegie comes the same day his jury trial for open murder and armed robbery was to begin in Kent County Circuit Court. The 28-year-old Kentwood man faces life in prison when sentenced September 3. Because of the guilty plea, prosecutors will drop an armed robbery charge Carnegie faced for a gas station hold-up. Carnegie admitted to killing Marie Nettles a year ago this week and dumping her body along Plaster Creek. Investigators say he picked up Nettles, a prostitute, for sex the evening of Aug. 7. Her body was found about 7:45 a.m. the next day. Police say after having sex with Nettles, Carnegie strangled her and dragged her naked body along the trail, where it was found in undergrowth. Police found a shoe print and Carnegie's DNA on the woman's body, including a spit mark on her thigh. - (Black-on-white) |

(Demon spawn 'on pills') black boy, 12, charged in White 9-year-old’s murder - lured to park - stabbed in back repeatedly KENTWOOD, Mich. — As he sat in court, charged with stabbing a 9-year-old boy to death at a playground, 12-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn looked more like an 8-year-old. He is tiny, but he wore shackles on his hands and feet, as his mom put her hand on his shoulder. On Tuesday, Lawhorn became the youngest person ever charged with murder in Kent County history, and among the youngest ever in Michigan. He’s charged with open murder for the death of 9-year-old Michael “Conner” Verkerke. It was just Monday at the Pinebrook Village Mobile Home Park that Lawhorn asked three boys he didn’t know — including Conner — if they wanted to go play with him at the playground, the mother of one of those boys said. “There were three boys at that park, he picked a random one,” said Tiffany Armijo, whose 9-year-old son witnessed the stabbing of his best friend. Lawhorn pulled a knife out of the sand and started stabbing Conner in the back. Police said it was a kitchen knife and that Conner was stabbed repeatedly. “It was random, there was no reason, it wasn’t provoked, they weren’t fighting, there was no words exchanged, it was just malicious,” Armijo said. Conner reached his home and collapsed. Lawhorn ran to a nearby house and called 911 himself, said he had taken pills, had stabbed somebody and wanted to die. - (Black-on-white) |

Man’s Hi-Def Home Surveillance Helps Nab 5 Black Armed Robbers - that kidnapped a White woman MINNEAPOLIS — The chilling kidnapping and robbery of a young woman in Minneapolis was captured on high-definition surveillance cameras. It happened early last Tuesday morning in south Minneapolis. In the video, you can see a woman walking with two of the suspects down Lyndale Avenue. Look closely, and you can see she is in a headlock. The taller suspect is carrying her purse, and a closeup shows he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a handgun. At the moment we first see the 24-year-old woman, she had already been forced to walk for two blocks. At one point, a man emerges and appears to hand the suspects something. He is the alleged lookout. Moments later, we see the lookout cutting across a yard, which triggers a homeowner’s alarm. A car with two men is waiting in an alley. Its license plate is clearly captured. The woman is last seen with one suspect, who then makes her turn around before he runs to the car. The suspect holding the purse is smiling as he gets in, and they speed off. 1 black arrested, 1 black at large after bank robbery, carjacking of White man in Nashville NASHVILLE, Tenn. - One person has been arrested and another is on the loose after a bank robbery in south Nashville and a carjacking at a gas station. Authorities are looking for 26-year-old convicted felon, Kershawn Globe. Officials said at 11:20 a.m. Saturday morning he walked into the Fifth Third Bank on 47 East Thompson Lane. He was reportedly wearing a mask and carrying a gun when he told a teller to put money in a pillowcase. He then fled the scene. Officers used K-9 units to track him to an address on Elissa Drive, but Globe took off on foot. After searching the home, officials found the stolen money and a nine millimeter pistol. At 12:05 p.m., Globe went to the Shell Gas Station on 1631 Elm Hill Pike where he reportedly carjacked Dennis Garlangerat. Garlangerat said he was inside the store getting slushies with his two grandchildren when Globe approached him. "Then he said, 'Give me the keys, give me the blank keys. I gotta gun,' and I looked at him and he said, 'Otherwise, I'm going to kill the blank kids.' So, I gave him the keys to my car." Globe drove the stolen Ford Windstar van to Two Rivers Parkway where he pulled over and approached Sharon Begley and her friend as they were getting out of their vehicle to look at a house. The suspect asked to use their cell phone and they complied. "We had a very uneasy feeling and didn't know if he had a gun or not. So, we didn't want to chance saying no to him and him pulling a gun or something like that," explained Begley. She said Globe took off with the phone. They got into their car and followed him to Two Rivers Park where they blocked the entrance and called 911. Shortly after, he abandoned the stolen van and was picked up by a woman driving a silver Toyota Corolla. The van was still rolling and was headed in the direction of children playing in the park. Begley and her friend rammed their car into the van to stop it from moving. No one was hurt. Around 2:45 a.m., police received several calls reporting the sound of gunshots and what turned out to be two separate fights in the Grove Apartments parking lot. Medical personnel, upon arrival, located two young men, one with stab wounds to his back and torso, and another with a single stab wound to his lower back. (White) Victim of St. Roch attack by pack of blacks: 'They just wanted to stomp somebody' William Murphy set out Sunday night to pick up a few groceries at the New Orleans Food Co-op in the St. Roch neighborhood. The roughly three-block walk is one the 54-year-old home renovator said he's made countless times since moving to the neighborhood in 2006. But what should have been a routine errand quickly turned into a harrowing encounter with a group of teenagers who left him bloody and battered. He remembers only flashes, he said, including the teens taking his laptop from his backpack but never attempting -- despite ample opportunity -- to take the $90 he had in his wallet. "This was a planned assault," Murphy said when reached by phone Tuesday (July 29), two days after the attack. "It was not a robbery attempt. They just wanted to stomp somebody." Murphy, who serves as vice president of the Faubourg St. Roch Improvement Association, became the second victim of weekend attacks in St. Roch. New Orleans police believe both were carried out by some of the same juveniles. Around 9:30 p.m., Murphy said he was walking in the 1300 block of Music Street when his assailants "blindsided" him from around the street corner. He doesn't know how long the beating lasted, only that maybe seven or eight individuals punched and kicked him multiple times in the face and body. One blow left a clear shoe imprint on his forehead. - (Black-on-white) |

Black Ex-Marine lies about being in Gulf War to excuse his savage unprovoked attack on (White) N. Syracuse police officer A Syracuse veteran accused of a savage, unprovoked attack on a North Syracuse police officer partially blamed the attack on debilitating emotional trauma he suffered while in the Marines. Danon Edwards, 33, said through his lawyer that his military service left him emotionally scarred and unable to work. He told is lawyer, Chris Gaiser, that he served in the "Gulf War." But Edwards was actually a peacetime food service worker and never left the country, according to the U.S. Marines. His record shows he was a Marine from July 19, 1999 to Jan. 31, 2003. White man beaten, robbed in park by pack of blacks believes attack was racially motivated LOUISVILLE, Ky. —In just a matter of weeks, a man beaten and robbed in an area park will come face to face with one of the men he says attacked him. According to police, the suspect was a juvenile at the time. But, the courts said Brejon Ford will now be tried as an adult when he goes to trial Sept. 9. The victim, Joseph Rountree, said three others have not yet been arrested for the crime he said left him not only humiliated but physically injured. "For a while I didn't get out hardly at all. I just feel threatened every time I leave my house. I was afraid walking down the street somebody might grab me from behind," said Rountree. Rountree said he has lived in fear for the past 15 months. It was at Okolona Park on April 12, 2013, when he went for a walk. He said the park was empty around 5 that evening when a group of young, black men were making their way to him. "They were yelling 'honky' and 'white boy,' 'cracker' and 'white trash,'" said Rountree. He was beaten and knocked unconscious; doctors later discovered bleeding on the brain. The group, Rountree said, took his two cellphones and the $22 he had in his pocket. "I believe they might have thought I looked like I was an easy target because I'm white, because they were calling me racial names," said Rountree. - (Black-on-white) - (Hatecrimes) |
